Meet the Team
Derek Heathwood
Managing Director
Derek is a chartered surveyor who has worked in the industrial property sector since 1993.
Prior to establishing 4i in 2020, Derek was the UK Property Director at Hansteen Holdings PLC.
Derek has been involved in direct property acquisitions, portfolios, corporate structures, JPUTs, PLC takeovers and bank loans both in the UK and across Europe, transacting c. £3bn of property in his career.

Sarah Lindsay
Asset Management Director
Sarah is a chartered surveyor who has been working in the industrial property sector since 1998 when she joined Ashtenne PLC.
Sarah joined Hansteen Holdings PLC in 2012 and in 2014 she became a Director and Head of UK Asset Management, responsible for the performance of the regional office platform.
Sarah joined 4i in 2020 following the sale of Hansteen to Blackstone.

Ben Howlett
Finance Director
Ben is a chartered accountant with over 15 years of experience, having qualified at Deloitte LLP.
Before joining 4i in May 2021, Ben worked at Hansteen Holdings PLC for 9 years in a variety of finance roles, latterly as Head of Finance. Ben worked closely with Derek and Sarah on asset management, acquisitions and disposals culminating in the sale of Hansteen to Blackstone in February 2020.
Ben is a fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

Matt Reith
Senior Asset Manager
Matt is a chartered surveyor and joined 4i from Mileway having previously worked with Derek, Sarah and Ben at Hansteen Holdings PLC, where he held various senior positions.
He has nearly 14 years of experience in the industrial property sector and will be involved with leasing and asset management initiatives across all properties in the 4i portfolio.
